  • Partner Plant/s

Type III Hard Anodising in Natural & Black - 50-60 microns

We have two Partner Plants (based in Auckland) that can do Type III Hard Anodising in Natural & Black, and handle lengths up to 6000mm (6 metres) ×750mm.

Shown: Type III anodised 6061T6 suspension ball joint in foreground - note the darker olive shade, as evidence of the thicker anodic layer - with a Type II anodised 6061T6 support arm in the background (note the lighter shade).

  • Strip & Re-Anodise

We can remove an old, faded, damaged or aesthetically-displeasing anodised layer, and replace it with a new, fresh, and re-coloured look for a fraction of the price of a new part.

  • Alodine / Chromate Conversion

Alodining / chromate conversion enhances corrosion protection while maintaining electrical conductivity. This improves durability and part life, and is commonly used in electronics and high-end consumer goods. Shown: The mating surfaces of these complex camera parts were alodined for corrosion protection and durability.

  • Sanding + Polishing

We can sand and polish your parts to a mirror finish, prior to anodising. This leaves the part glossy, uniform (scratch and imperfection free), which greatly improves the final surface aesthetic. Shown: A machine-alloy motorbike hub that was anodised in a rich gold colour.

  • Selective Masking

We can selectively mask your parts so that only certain sections are anodised and/or coloured. This adds durability while maintaining electrical conductivity and other usage characteristics e.g., for bearing areas, or sections that require unique or specific lubrication.
